Yes, but I belong to many other sites too where I am welcome and am free to stick to my own style of posting. UBC is a place where I just read and observe now but don't participate much. I have too many things to do with my plants and gardens to care much either, but it just leaves a bad taste in your mouth when you're a good contributing member on a site and yet and treated very poorly and shabbily.

I am sending out the Amythest Beautyberry cutting shrubs next week!!! Just wanted to wait until after the holiday Monday before releasing anything into the mail. I intend on surprising you with a few goodies.

Here's a shot I took this morning of some berries that fell off my one shrub...

Hope you're having a great long weekend, Zac!

What a shame, good thing we've got this place. :D

I wish it were that simple, Zac.

Daniel is the UBC moderator who had a problem with my smileys and cheerful way of instructing others about plants. He even went so far as to ban me from the site but I've rejoined under an anonymous name and visit from time to time. I don't post much though because I don't want any problems. I mostly just read. Sad that things turned so weird and ugly there. It used to be a good site before...when Eric was running things.

Anyhow, matters not now. Gotta go...

Who is this Daniel person? I'll beat 'im up fo' yee!

Also, if you find anyone lookin' for ice cream pups, I have six...

Barb, I might be able to help him as I have re-joined UBC under a different screenname but I need to remain anonymous as Daniel is out for revenge on me, unfortunately.

I'll see what I can do but can't make any promises. I mostly just use my membership there now to read and observe, as it seems my posts and information were not welcomed nor appreciated previously.

Thanks for passing on the information though. Hope all is well.

Oh I didn't send him cuttings, I sent him a whole shrub that I bought for him! Excited? He's ecstatic! I'm waiting to see it planted in the ground...

Glad you made it over to his thread. I told him I told you about it.

Was he excited enough about your hollyberry cuttings? I've never seen a more exuberant forum post, lol.

      Those fruits look yummy.

It's becoming ridiculous how many plants I have!

Did you know that Bob got his Ice Cream banana plant to produce a flower and he's now growing bananas?!

      : o

He's started a thread with pics on banana org...

Good to know you'll have room because I'll need someone to pawn my pups off on shortly (lol)

Well "someday" I will definitely have room. I have the potential for much more room presently, just have to build it or dig it or modify the flower beds (which we need to do anyways). It's all just a matter of how low we trim the crate myrtles for sun or shade, how we reconfigure the ugly flower bed borders, and how much mulch we buy.

I know it's hard to believe and I can hardly fathom it myself Zac, but it's true...I am done this season! More boxes of plants will be arriving shortly and I'm not sure what I'll do with them. Someday, you'll be getting tons of banana pups from me Zac and I hope you'll have room.

I'm still here Alex, though not as much lately.

Wow Zac, that's just gorgeous! Very soon though, I am going to have more banana plants than I know what to do with! I'm already over-run. Good Lord, someone please stop the banana insanity! Is there a 12-step program we could join?

You must see the present I've been gifted during the heat of July:

There are 3 total popped up! I just don't know where I'd put three ice cream banana pups... *cough, nudge, poke, wink, grin*

Coleus images on Bling look nice, and I don't mind waiting. I got some kumquats on another trade, I'll let you know if the seeds pop up before you ship, and key lime sounds absolutely delicious. I have some Mexican limes growing in temporary pots until I find a place for them in-ground.

The seed problem isn't just with my potting soil, I only got 1 of 9 or so corn seeds growing out in the flower beds... My okra did great with some coco coir mixed into the top layer, I'll try some more of that - have you ever used coco coir? It's pretty nice stuff.
